The course is relevant to supervisors and others responsible for confined space work as well as those who work in confined spaces or assist those who work in confined spaces, gas test atmospheres or operate breathing apparatus.

    Award: Statement of Attainment for each of the above units as partial completion of PMA20108 Certificate II in Process Plant Operations.

Assessments & Award ...


Participants who demonstrate competency by passing both the theory and practical assessments will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed or a Statement of Attainment for each of the above units as partial completion of MSA20107 Certificate II in Process Manufacturing

 

Course Requirements ...


Participants must provide photographic identification and wear closed shoes and long sleeved work trousers and shirts. 

Entry Requirements ...


Participants should have sufficient literacy and numeracy to read and comprehend instructions for safety at the workplace including:

  1. Referencing and understanding legislation, standards and codes of practice.
  2. Preparing workplace health and safety reports.
  3. Investigating work injuries, work caused illnesses and dangerous events.
  4. Consulting with workers, employers and statutory health and safety officials

Participants will need sufficient physical ability to attend a three-day classroom and practical scenario based  course, which may involve crawling and climbing up, on, under and through structures, lifting and carrying breathing apparatus/ cylinders, donning harnesses, dragging, lifting or carrying people in confined and restricted environments in low light or smoke filled areas.
