Course Outcomes ...


This course provides participants with:

  • Basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry in NSW;

  • Information about preventing workplace injury and illness,

  • Workplace injury; management and workers compensation in NSW.

Assessments & Award ...


Participants who demonstrate competency by passing both the theory and practical assessments will receive a Statement of Training from the accredited trainer which is proof of course attendance for 30 days.

The participant will also receive an application form for a NSW Workcover Construction Induction Certificate which must be completed and forward to NSW Workcover. The construction induction certificate (in the form of a plastic pocket sized card) will normally be posted to your postal address within 14 days of receipt of the application.

 

 

Course Requirements ...


The participants must present valid proof of identity (POI) upon commencement of the course in the form of a current Drivers Licence, NSW Photo ID, Passport, Birth Certificate etc. You should contact us prior to attending the course about accepted POI or if you are unsure about what you might be able to present as POI.

 

Entry Requirements ...


There are no restrictions on entry to this course however participants should have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and comprehend workplace safety instructions.

Participants need to be at least 14 years, 9 months of age.
