  • Prepare for and use safe work practices when working on a building and construction site

  • Interpret and comply with relevant workplace health and safety obligations and Common Law when working on a building and construction site

  • Unit GSIBC 001: Abide by and apply basic workplace health and safety requirements in the building and construction industry.

 

 

Course Outcomes ...


Upon completion, participants will be able to understand basic legislative requirements, risk management concepts and health and safety practices working within the building and construction industry. It provides a foundation of basic knowledge and skills which you will build on through your site-specific induction and task specific training with your employer.

Assessments & Award ...


Participants who demonstrate competency by passing both the theory and practical assessments will receive a Statement of Attainment Course in General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) – 30215QLD’ and a laminated  “Blue Card” which remains the property of the Department of Industrial Relations Queensland.

Participants must provide photographic identification at face to face courses.

 

Entry Requirements ...


There are no restrictions on entry to this course however students are required to have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and comprehend instruction for safety on a construction workplace.
