Course Description

It is delivered in the classroom and includes participation in mining related scenarios to give students an understanding of what is expected to work safely on a mine site. On successful completion of this classroom based learning the student will be supplied with a Statement of Completion and a Resources RTO Association Mining Induction Partial Completion card and a Workplace Assessment Book. When this book has been completed and returned to OHSA a Statement of Attainment can then be issued for the course Units of Competency along with a Resources RTO Association Mining Induction Full Completion card.

Note: You should always check first with the specific site you intend to work to determine their specific site requirements. BMA has its own process for induction. Should you be attending a BMA site you should contact them to enrol in their own induction program. The RRTO Resources Induction has been developed to meet the Queensland Government’s Recognised Standard 11 ‘Training in Coal Mines Appendix 3 Generic OH&S Induction’. Although as BMA has its own program the RRTO Standard 11 will not at this time be sufficient for you to enter a BMA site.
