Alcohol and other drugs (AOD)

The misuse of alcohol and other drugs can have a significant impact on a persons work performance, safety, lifestyle and relationships. OHSA recognises the significant influences the workplace can have on a persons personal choices and provides programs to limit the negative impact that alcohol and other drugs can have on the workplace and the community. This is accomplished through the provision of relevant and professional consultancy services;

How can OHSA contribute to your workplace program?

By understanding your workplace and workforce, a program that best suits your needs can be developed. Workplaces are unique in ways that may not be apparent from the outset. Effective and comprehensive programs recognise this. OHSA can help you to;

  • Understand what your policy is trying to achieve in the workplace and in the community;
  • Understand your workforce and community characteristics;
  • Understand which AOD management processes will have the greatest benefit.
