RIIRIS301E Apply Risk Management Processes

This course has been developed to meet the risk management unit (formerly S1 of the Supervisor S123 course) requirements in the mining industry for a Mining Supervisor or Site Safety and Health Representative. This unit is approved by the Safety and Health Advisory Committees for supervisors and site safety and health representatives.  The course will require access to a computer and scanner to upload completed risk assessments and other evidence.  Students will also have a competency phone call with an assessor to confirm understanding of the content prior to being deemed competent.

• Plan and prepare for risk management
• Assess and identify unacceptable risk
• Review risk management documentation
• Identify and recommend controls
• Contribute to the implementation of controls
