Upon successful completion, students will receive a RRTWC Training Course Certificate of Completion, stating they have completed a course approved by the Queensland Workers’ Compensation Regulator to provide RRTWCs with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the functions of the RRTWC role as prescribed in the Queensland legislation.
Should students wish to receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (SOA) for BSBWHS417 assist with managing the WHS implications of return to work, they will need to complete an additional short RRTWC Gap Assessment and pay a fee of $150. This is not mandatory to be a return to work coordinator.

If you are only required to show evidence of your training and competence to be an RRTWC in Qld, you do not need the SOA.
This course is a combination of online and phone chat/video conferencing with the course assessor.
This course is designed to provide an introduction to managing injured workers in Queensland according to the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 QLD & Regulation 2014 QLD.
It is the responsibility of the employer to ensure their Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator is appropriately qualified and competent to carry out their role as per S.226 of the Act. It is also the responsibility of the RRTWC to understand the principles of managing injured workers with reference to the legislation and best practice injury management principles and to be able to fulfil the functions of an RRTWC as per Reg 114 of the Regulation.

There are no prerequisites for this course however students must be able to read and write in English and have suitable verbal communication skills to communicate clearly in English.
Students should have fast and reliable internet and the ability to hold webcam / Facetime meetings with the course assessor. The student will need to allow approximately one hour of individual time for one-on-one webcam/Facetime discussions with the course assessor. Students have six (6) weeks to return all assessment items to the RTO for marking.
