  • Workplace Access: You must have access to a current resources site (Coal, Metalliferous, Drilling, Exploration, or Civil Infrastructure) OR recent experience working in the resources sector within the past 12 months with access to recently facilitated risk assessments and audits completed during this time.
  • Supervisor Verification: Access to a current or recent supervisor/manager who can provide a third-party testimonial demonstrating your ability to carry out risk management tasks.
  • Technology Capabilities: A reliable computer, an internet connection, a printer, and the ability to participate in video conferencing (FaceTime/Zoom) with an OHSA Assessor if required. We highly recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience. This includes confidently navigating the internet, sending emails, and editing, saving, or uploading PDF documents.
  • Documentation Verification: Access to a Justice of the Peace (JP) or Commissioner of Declarations for the submission of Statutory Declarations, alongside a valid Photographic ID.
  • Age & Visa Status: Must be 18 years or older. You cannot be on a student visa or the partner of someone on a student visa.
  • Language & Literacy: Students should have basic English literacy for reading and understanding course materials.
